Find me also on Pilled/Precinct Strategy as Cloud. Sporadically monitoring CARLA RF Interlink that covers a large part of Commiefornia but mainly Central and North, although there is a repeater in LA Region (Santiago Peak). Back in the 80's I had a license, but let it lapse. I've heard that code isn't required anymore, but with my current budget, I'd probably go homemade QRP and code.

Why should I get licensed? Before you can get on the air, you need to be licensed and know the rules to operate legally. US licenses are good for 10 years before renewal and anyone may hold one...
